Starting Them Young

The books I read to my little one over Christmas. He mostly cried and weirdly preferred me reading aloud my current (and far more grown-up) books, but I enjoyed reading these to him and I'm sure next Christmas he'll be old enough to enjoy them himself!

The Grinch hated Christmas! The whole Christmas season! Now please don't ask why. No-one quite knows the reason.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas

by Dr Seuss

A great rhyming book that mummy loved and Oscar occasionally smiled through. Beautiful illustrations and plenty of film versions to go along with the book.

Oscar Santa's On His Way

by Put Me in the Story

This is a fun story that involves Santa hiding a lot of the time and has the added bonus of being a personalised book which is even more enjoyable to read aloud to your child.

Five Little Reindeer

by Make Believe Ideas

A fun counting book which Oscar has heard in English and in Spanish and has an interactive feel to it.

Dear Santa

by Rod Campbell

This is a beginners book for pop-up/interactive books and has a Goldilocks vibe with each present (that you reveal through a flap) being not quite right. Until one is.
